Hazelnut Mocha Hot Chocolate Melt

A barnstorming flavour sensation, all of our favourite things in one drink.
Not for the faint hearted. A punchy dark hot chocolate Melt, a shot of intense espresso, smoothed out with the sweetness of the hazelnut syrup. Wow!
This is aroma city. We start out with a full bodied, punchy, espresso... enough on its own to awaken the senses. When making a mocha we always reccomend our well rounded Pickwick espresso. We then add the 1883 Hazelnut syrup creating the perfect balance to the acidity of the espresso. Then combined with a Marimba dark Melt for a show stopping combination. Don't forget this also works as a sugar free combination when used with sugar free hot chocolate Melt and 1883. To really show off why not top with cream, ground hazelnuts and chocolate coated coffee beans?
We like to make this recipe with our 71% Ecuador dark hot chocolate. Great in our full range of white, milk and dark Hot Chocolate Melts.
The exceptional fine flavour and rich aroma of Ecuador’s native "Cacao Nacional" is the main characteristic of this dark chocolate.
It is highly prized for its floral flavour. Our high cocoa content delivers a surprisingly gentle flavour distinguished by soft and subtle aromas. There is a floral hint, and a nuance of earthiness provides the finishing touch.
1883 flavour syrups are made in France using natural spring water and flavours. At Marimba we find these make the perfect match for our Hot Chocolate Melts, not least because of the concentrated flavours meaning a smaller portion size for the same depth of flavour.
You never over sweeten your Melt, whilst getting a full and natural flavour.
We recommend just a 16ml portion for a normal 12oz sized mug. If making one of our delicious flavour combinations of two syrups you need just 8ml of each flavour. This ensures you do not over sweeten or overpower the hot chocolate Melt.
